Five things I have learned from my couch-surfer

11 April 2012

I have a couch-surfer staying with me for a few weeks. He’s been here 7 days so far, and I have already learned a lot from him!

  1. One can use lampshade price tags to fix broken washing machine hoses.
  2. In Germany, it is common to put ketchup (tomato sauce) on pizza after it is cooked before eating it.
  3. Plum and chocolate pizza is a great dessert.
  4. Coke and beer is a great mixed drink! (Don’t diss it til you try it…)
  5. Pickles are called cucumbers in German, and hot peppers are called pepperonis. (This made for some interesting dinner mix-ups!)
