365 Days of Me: Day 146

21 February 2012

So, I realised the past few pictures I’ve posted have been quite dark. This one is as well. That’s because I am so busy doing things during the day that I don’t remember to take a picture until it’s nearly dark out.

Today’s photo is of the Guildford Hotel, a historic building that needs some TLC but hasn’t been given any. It is condemned to enter, so is just sitting there without a roof, getting worse for wear. For at least a year now, every month or so someone has put up a different sign on the hotel, all in relation to its status and how it needs to be repaired. The signs are always relevant to the season or something going on in the world at the time.

This sign reads,

“Roses are red
Violets are blue
Sugar is sweet
A roof would be too”

And here is a link to the Facebook page that shows all the other signs they have put up: Save the Guildford Hotel
